After nearly a decade, The Mavens Telescope is back with Endurance, an album exploring deep philosophical themes through progressive and alternative rock. Formed in 2013 in Brazil by Thales Posella, Beto Ferrari and Jonas Ariel, The Mavens Telescope made their first appearance on the progressive and alternative rock independent scene with their 2015 debut, The Seed of True Existence, featuring Marcio Herzer on bass.
Following a hiatus, Thales and Beto revived the project in 2020, reuniting with Herzer to craft Endurance, which was released on March 25th, 2025. The album showcases The Mavens Telescope’s signature mix of atmospheric textures, powerful melodies, and thought-provoking storytelling.

Never The Same is een heerlijk meeslepend nummer in Jadis-stijl met een uitstekende gitaarsolo van Thales Posella die behalve de gitaar ook het merendeel van de zang, alle toetsen en nog meer instrumenten op dit album voor z’n rekening neemt. Je kan hem eigenlijk wel zien als het brein achter de band. Het zijn zíjn composities en zíjn teksten. Naast Posella is ook drummer Beto Ferrari weer van de partij. Deze twee bandoprichters krijgen op “Endurance” wederom gezelschap van bassist Marcio Herzer. Twee gastmuzikanten op respectievelijk cello en zang (in het laatste nummer) completeren de band. You could almost consider him the brains behind the band. They are his compositions and his lyrics. Besides Posella, drummer Beto Ferrari is also back. These two band founders are joined again on “Endurance” by bassist Marcio Herzer. Two guest musicians, on cello and vocals (on the final track), complete the band.
